Miles Quaritch star Stephen Lang provides a new filming update for Avatar 4 and 5, ahead of the release of Avatar: Fire and Ash later this year. In 2022’s Avatar: The Way of Water, Lang’s Quaritch performed the same role as the main antagonist in James Cameron’s 2009 original movie. Avatar: Fire and Ash, which comes out in December, will now feature the adversary. Two additional movies, slated for release in 2029 and 2031, are anticipated to complete the epic storyline.
In a recent interview with Collider, Lang reveals that he now believes he has completed filming as Quaritch for all the remaining Avatar sequels. Though he admits that he could be required to come back at some point for supplementary filming of some sort, this is an intriguing update given the final film is still six years away from actually releasing in theaters.
